Lina Bakkemose

Lina Bakkemose

Lina is R3's multifaceted art director who is interested in all kinds of design forms and aesthetic processes. In her creation, she often focuses on capturing the simple to turn it into something that arouses emotions. Among her posters, you will find several motifs that are reminiscent of nature but produced in an abstract mannerism with soft shapes – take her motifs "Landscape" and "Illustrated Flower" as distinguishing examples.

For Lina, the interest in art and design began at an early age, since then it has been constantly present. Her father is a watercolor artist and has also been a teacher of the subject. Creative design has thus come naturally; Lina has been drawing and painting for as long as she can remember. But instead of niching herself within a particular art form, she has explored different types of styles and forms of expression. This has meant that she does not limit herself in her creation but thinks broadly and gladly creates with her hands – the process of creation often goes from handmade sketch to finished poster.

Lina's posters fall into several categories. She moves from minimalist and modest to abstract illustrations with multiple shades of color. A recurring source of inspiration, however, is a Scandinavian style, and also modern décor. Combine that with neutral and bright tones with soft lines, and you'll have an overall idea of what Lina likes. At the same time, each poster differs in expression and tells its own story.
