Dennis Lind
Dennis is a bit of a visual multi-talent. At R3 he works as a digital designer and more recently also as a filmmaker or photographer. This means his workday can involve anything from web design and animations to sketching storyboards or being out on various photo and film projects. When it comes to posters, it is exclusively photo art that is created – preferably at 35mm.
Since Dennis is a digital designer, photography has basically been a natural side work that he has grown into and gradually even started working with on a professional level. His photo style cannot be placed in a single category; the environments and motifs in the photographs differ greatly. The unifying trait is simplicity, with a lot of focus on lighting. Since he mostly shoots in 35 mm, he prefers to avoid editing and instead leave room for a more authentic feeling.
The source of inspiration for photography, and really all design, has been to be able to create a multifaceted and telling expression with as few elements as possible. To find the composition with fewer objects and then turn it into something interesting. That's what design is all about, isn't it?
