Grafiska posters – modern trend som är härligt tidlös

Graphic posters – a modern trend that is wonderfully timeless

Graphic posters are a category that has really risen to the top of the interior design enthusiasts' radar. A minimalist motif that also offers characteristic shapes and features not only brings life to the wall: they also fit perfectly in combination with other prints in a picture wall.

When talking about graphic posters, thoughts easily come to mind of black and white motifs, where illusions, for example, have a given place. But the fact is that the style encompasses so much more. The colors can certainly be black and white, but also muted shades from a larger color scale. Shapes and lines can be symmetrical – or completely irregular. The motifs can contain concrete details, like a face or a flower, but of abstract dimensions. What is common is the fact that graphic art is expressive and invites the viewer to like – and to like.

Just as true Scandinavian as urban

Graphic posters fit particularly well into the popular, cool Scandinavian style. With its austere furniture and earthy color scheme, this type of art completes the right feeling. Perhaps less expected is that graphic motifs also do very well in a more urban environment, as a stripped-down element in a colorful interior. Here, furniture and details take on more of their own – in terms of color, shape or size – and unexpected elements are often welcome, such as a strict or monochromatic expression as part of the art.

Graphic posters are the final piece of the picture wall puzzle

In order for graphic art to find its place in a picture wall, it is a good idea to pick up colors that are already present in other motifs. This can be blackness from dark details, or letting a beige background repeat itself or a light motif add a sense of calm to the whole. You can also link the different motifs on the picture wall with the help of frames. Then choose the same frame, for example in oak, walnut or a uniform color.
