Biophilic Design - Låt naturen få vara en del av hemmet

Biophilic Design - Let nature be part of the home

The Biophilic Design interior design style aims to include as many natural materials as possible to create a stronger connection to our natural outdoor environments.

The concept is based on research that shows that our nature has a positive impact on our mental and physical well-being. By integrating natural elements such as stone, wood, natural light and plants, we can improve our productivity, creativity and at the same time reduce stress. Colors such as green combined with earthy tones are also a big part of the concept.

Biophilic Design is not just about aesthetics, but has a broader purpose of promoting our well-being and increasing our productivity. Thanks to nature's own elements, we can create spaces in our homes that feel more alive and that give us recovery.

Interior design tips - room by room

Include natural materials such as linen and jute in the bedroom or living room. Both duvet covers and curtains are made of airy linen fabric that creates a harmonious feeling. A jute rug is both easy to care for, stylish and can be used in all types of rooms. Use plants or other green elements to make the rooms feel more alive. Posters with nature motifs or green shades can easily be added to complement both the bedroom and the living room.

If you don't have large windows with lots of light, you can add several light sources with warm light that mimics the glow of the sun. For an even more relaxing effect, you can add lavender to the bedroom, a perfect detail that helps to wind down at night.

Use natural stone and solid wood in the kitchen for a natural feel. Also complement it with green elements. Herbs, citrus fruits and other green plants give an organic feel and add lovely aromas to the heart of the home.
